Reflections of a broken heart

**I'm joining Lisa-Jo and a number of other women today as we link up for Five-minute Friday. Today's word prompt is: reflect.

With Christmas just a few weeks away, I find myself looking back in time, reflecting on the past and filled with awe over all that's happened to bring me to where I now am.. As I look back to where my life was just two years ago at this time, I remember thinking then that I'd never be happy again. I remember well the tears that became a common part of my days and the long months of wondering if the pain would ever end. Those months turned into years, bringing me to where I am today. I'm different now, having been refined and sanctified by the One Who's ways are wiser than mine, and Whose love and grace has carried me all the way.
